- Mary M. Added 2017-10-13★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Rented two kayaks and had them shuttled to Chikanishing. Would have preferred having an employee there when we arrived in the morning to help us with the kayaks and answer questions. This was our first time kayaking in a large body of water.
When we started off, the waters were calm and easy to navigate but then after an hour, the wind quickly changed and the water became very choppy. As we headed back, the size of the waves increased making it extremely difficult to paddle. Luckily, we took notice of the wind change when we did; otherwise, we may have been stranded.
Overall, the scenery was extraordinary.
